Gently close the front cover of the printer.
Re-install the drum unit and toner cartridge assembly into the printer.ġ0. Make certain to return the green tab to the home position by aligning the two arrows on the drum unit to prevent any print quality issues. Clean the corona wire inside the drum unit by gently sliding the green tab from left to right and right to left several times. Push the new toner cartridge firmly into the drum unit until you hear it lock into place. Unpack the new toner cartridge and remove the protective cover and any other packaging. Push down the green lock lever on the left side of the drum unit and remove the empty toner cartridge. Using the handle, remove the drum unit and toner cartridge assembly from the printer and set aside on a piece of paper to easily clean up any spills in the process. If you install a new toner cartridge but the "Toner Low", "Replace Toner" or "Toner Ended" error indication remains, the toner cartridge may not be installed correctly. Verify the toner cartridge is installed correctly. 
Therefore, when you replace the toner cartridge, use a brand new toner cartridge, not a partially used toner cartridge from another machine. If you install a partially used toner cartridge, your Brother machine is unable to recognize toner consumption correctly which will cause this issue. Swapping toner cartridges from one machine to another or installing a partially used toner cartridge may cause this issue. When replacing the toner cartridge, you MUST install a brand new, unused toner cartridge in order to reset the toner status. The Brother machine has separate consumables the toner cartridge and the drum unit. Verify that you didn't replace incorrect consumable by mistake.If the machine's display or LED continues to show the Toner Low, Replace Toner or Toner Ended error indication after installing a new toner cartridge, follow the steps below to resolve the issue.
